• CALLING ON HOME SEWERS TO HELP HEALTHCARE WORKERS FIGHTING COVID-19

The lack of proper masks, gowns, and eyewear equipment is making it difficult for health workers to do their work fighting the novel coronavirus. In a recent New York Times article, medical workers said they were worried about how they can both fight the coronavirus without imperiling themselves, as well as their loved ones when they go back home.

If you are a home sewer, please consider helping my joining Hickey Freman Technical Vice President Jeffery Diduch in his effort to produce and deliver homemade gowns and masks to medical professionals in the greater Rochester, New York Area. Read about how you can help here

Correct. I just took a look at the insert that came with mine, and although mine actually are #8 shells, I imagine the insert is the same.

the lightening is called pull up. it is desirable. a feature not a bug.

do not put any product on your shell. wear fifteen times at least.

get clean horsehair brush and buff the hell out of them.

It's shell for sure and the creases are normal. I have tried Alden shell maintenance product, those from Carmina, and Saphir shell cream. Saphir is top notch. Don't bother with anything else.

I have a bottle of Venetian cream on the way. Will try it out.

I have some each of brown, burgandy and black cordovan shoes. I noticed that the lightening looks nice on the brown and burgandy b/c of the contrast. However, it makes black cordovan look cheap? Has anyone else noticed this w/ black cordovan shoes? I tried putting on extra wax over the creases but still get the same effect.
