Is this mid-gray PoW check suit appropriate for wedding?

I recently had this suit made in a lighter gray with a Prince of Wales check and haven't had a chance to wear it yet. I know lighter colors aren't necessarily appropriate in the colder months but I'm going to a wedding in Florida this month and the weather is expected to be warm. What do you say? Appropriate to the occasion?

Is it a typical wedding? If it will be ending in the evening, the suit might be too far from ideal.
