Looks a hair too long, but it's hard to tell unless you provide a full-body shot.

Terrible photo to judge length from. However, shoulders look too wide. Is this rented?

It's tough to call from that picture, but it looks too long. The body looks too full, and the shoulders are too wide.

I'm afraid its a rental yes. I need it urgently for an event tomorrow night and they don't offer alterations on the jacket fit.
This is a 38 long... am I better off with a 38 regular? Would this be more snug around the body and shoulders? Or is it best to have the length in the arms and stick with a long?

Not the best solution either way I know, but it's my only options right now.

    Cheers,

To me it does look a bit long, better invest in a custom tailored one next time for future use.

    What about a 36 regular?

Great advice all... i actually picked up a 36 regular on collection last night, a MUCH better fit! They were even happy to alter the arms whilst i was in there to get it right :)

I have since read that hire suits almost always come up large, so you need to size down from your usual.

Not a suitable picture - what on earth is that under the jacket?
