Is this acceptable quality?

I bought a pair of Allen Edmonds Strand at Nordstrom during their Semi-Annual sale. They had to ship it to me from another store since they don't have my size at the store I was shopping at.

I received the shoes today, whilte the left shoe looks as good as it could get, I noticed these creases on the quarter of the right shoes. Is this acceptable for first quality? Or should I try to return it to the store and see if they can find another store that has my 7D size?

That shoe is worse than "seconds". Seconds are shoes AE rejected for sale as new in AE stores.

Nordstrom did not have enough shoes in stock so AE shipped seconds and worse than seconds.

I have seen AE's with serious flaws at Nordstrom. The same happened with other brands, Nordstrom will sell returned used shoes as new. These are shoes in the past that were sent to Nordstrom Rack.

You need to contact AE directly and talk to them. Nordstrom is no longer concerned with customer service. They sold you that peice of crap shoe, and I bet the trained salesman told you it looked good. Contact AE and they will replace the shoe.

If you tell me what city you live in, I can tell you if Nordstrom has a 7D in stock.

Be warned, Nordstrom will NOT order new shoes from AE. They are expecting returns and will try and replace your shoes with returns. This is why I recommend going directly to AE.

Thanks for the reply DressedWell.

You are so right. They did not order it from AE.

I went to the Nordstrom at Galleria Dallas, and the Nordstrom at Galleria Houston was the one that shipped that to me.

That quality is not acceptable, not even if they were free.

They have offered to order shoes for me. :)

7D, a D width is normal. Every Nordstrom should carry a 7D.

There is a thread for AE's!!!!! aaaahhhhhhhhh

Ouch. Looks like I would have to take it back to Nordstrom. I got it for $219.90 during the sales. So I wonder if they would charge me full price for an exchange and refund me $219.90 for this pair or not.

Woops, I didn't know that. It would be great if a mod could merge this thread to the existing thread.

Thanks all.

They should let you exchange, that it that is bs.

In the unlikely event that they give you a hard time, contact AE directly and they should solve your issue.
