Able to purchase a pair of brand new Edward Green walcott 888 (burgundy) and walpole 888 monks (black) at about 790 each all in, is this still a steep price for EGs? Could I expect to find Edward Green shoes at lower prices? Don't want to be suckered here. Might also be able to swing some JM Westons also for about $525 if my guy can find them. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

this is a 40% off sale, and the shoe retails at $1195...that's why I wondered if this was a good price...it is not a clearance sale from what I understand.

Given the exchange rate, that's only about $100 off the full retail price in the UK, IIRC. On the other hand, you're not in the U.K.

It's actually $478 off, but I am accounting for shipping and taxes. so it's about $400 off when all is said and done.

I think most of the in stock shoes direct from the EG store in london are 443 pounds, exclusive of VAT, and shipping is another 30 or 40 pounds. At today's exchanges rates (~1.57dollars/pound), you're looking at under 760 shipped.

Look, if they're the styles you want, in the colors you want, and you are NOT compromising on size, it's a decent price for Edward Green. If not, wait for the Edward Green sale in January.

Can your guy give your friends on SF the hook too? I've been giving the hairy eyeball to a pair of Weston Chelsea boots. You know, the ones with the hard chiseled toe? Mm.

That's what I was trying to say. But I was using a slightly higher retail price, because I couldn't remember what it was.
