I'm new to the forum, so hello all!

Right, for years, I have been a fan of the film "Goodfellas", and I have always wondered, is there particular name for the type of collar on the shirt that Joe Pesci's character wears when he is to be "made"? Here are a few pictures.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I think he only wore that to get people to laugh at him. Then he get's to say "Oh, so you think I'm funny. Do I amuse you? etc....."

In my earlier days, I made shirts for a number of "wise guys" I never made anything that ugly.

we used a very close spread, sometimes with rounded tips, but never did the collar cover the tie.

Yes, it's called the Cylon collar. All the best heavily-armored shirts come with them these days.
