Is There a Correct Way to Soak my Jeans?

I just had my Imperial King Raw for about a week and last weekend i was pretty trashed so i spilled alot of stuff on it; it really needs a soak. Now from my understanding, i would want to soak it inside out and Warm Water if i want it to shrink? my instinct is the opposite which is cold water.
Also how long should i soak it?? thanks

cold water is fine
half an hour should do it
outside out will work
imperials are sanforized, yeah?

if they are sanforized you have a 3% shrinkage factoe if not and you want to was h them go take a bath in them for 20min in warm and you will be good to go.
