Is the term 'gay' as 'stupid' really that offensive?

. Is there anything else more needed to be said?

This is somewhat ignorant. You don't KNOW who is and who isn't gay around you. Even people who don't tell you just might be. Even people who also say it can be gay but trying to fit in. It's not difficult to understand.

It's simple. If you think it's a bad habit just work on not doing it. Otherwise, carry on.

No, I think someone who is a native english speaker and tries to justify calling a black person a negro is kidding themselves. But again...do whatever works for you.

Don't worry, I'm not. I was saying what WAS acceptable in reality at one time. I'm only talking to what society accepts at a time, not what I personally think is acceptable. Don't try to twist it on to me please. We all know society is fucked up in a lot of ways. But to not acknowledge the past is just as bad.

You're not less of a douche because other people aren't perfect, but you could be less of a douche if you stopped using epithets and even less of a douche than that if you'd stop getting offended when someone calls you out on it.

Do you like calling out to other guys? Do you want to talk about it?

Whats to talk about? That you equate calling someone out to calling out to someone? =)

When I hear it I just assume the person saying it is a nitwit.

Yup, if we could just stop people from saying "gay" in a casual sense, coming out would be a picnic. It's not the half the country truly hating you for something that is beyond your control, it's the insensitive language that makes the process so arduous.
