I was listening to the radio on the way to work this morning and this lady calls up (I really wonder if they stage these calls since they're so ridiculous)...
her husband and her couldn't afford their mortgage, so they sold the house and they and and their son moved in with her in-laws to save some money.
The father-in-law tried to come onto her and she was asking for advice (?!?) some ideas of what to say/do...
So this other lady called in saying that a similar thing happened to her and when she confronted her mother-in-law about it, her m-i-l blamed her saying it was her fault and threw her outta the house!
Is it just me or does this seem a little screwed up?

Have you never watched the likes of Jerry Springer?

The situation you posted from the talk radio is considered mild.

Did somebody ask the lady for her measurement? Maybe she was just very hot or something.

I think society is sad for having to get advice from someone on the radio who doesn't even know them. The best is Dr. Laura, she has nothing but contempt for the people who call her. She treats them like crap and makes them feel dumb for believing they needed to ask the question. And they wonder why there's a culture war.

Dr. Laura is like the Nancy Grace of the radio.

I heard it too. It is not a talk show. They play music and have some talk.

I do not think it was staged but it may have been exaggerated by the caller who also said her husband was in prison.

Maybe I should have clarified. I think you can ask for advice anywhere, but the advice this person wanted probably should come from a trained family counselor.

It's not uncommon for a spouse to value his or her mate over one's children. Also, it seems that women - attractive women - are often blamed for seducing men.

On Maury today an African American woman brought 4 men onto the show to determine if any of them were the father of her kid.

None were

I listen to one christian radio station every now and then and some young woman called in saying her mother became a lesbian and has started living with her partner. The hosts promptly told her to not be on speaking terms with her mother until she ended her relationship.

You know, you could call her black.

And yes, that episode I believe spawned the 'Not the daddy-dance' GIF.

Most people are ******* crazy and live like slobs. Sometimes it's easy to lose sight of this when you live in the good neighborhoods. Some simple people watching at Walmart will verify your question. Yes, society is very pathetic.
