When it comes to best deals, quality of clothing offered there, and overall selection.

I find more of the clothing I like at NM than Saks.

Well, needless markup is more expensive

If you are talking about the NYC stores I like Saks better...that said I like Bergdorf's better than both.

i have 3 NM's and 4 Saks within easy driving distance.

NM > Saks, no question in my mind.

but if you're talking about deals, it's well documented that Saks has been much more willing recently to slash prices to the bone to get some volume...

There isn't a Neiman's in NYC (the one in White Plains is nice though)

As an overall brand I like Neiman's better, most Saks i've been too aren't very good, however I'll take the Saks Flagship over any single Neiman's.

Around here, neiman marcus is far more excellent. Saks rarely updates their men's section and tends to carry the cheaper items by theory, hugo boss, and very eccentric prada, dolce, etc. clothing.

most of the casual wear that NM carries is far more "wearable." Plus they carry Paul Smith and Nice Collective, which is great for me.

The buys at both kinda suck. Every time I go into NM in Charlotte there's absolutely nothing to buy besides fragrances.
