So here are three pictures: Left: When I pull the pants up to my hip bone Right: When I wear the trousers as I would usually wear (an inch below my hip bone) I find it hard to make the trouser sit that up high like shown on the left side of the pictures. Even when I wear my belt, they still slide down... I thought in my right hand side photos, my trousers are too long, but after reading some articles on breaks, I guess left is around quarter break and right would be half-full break. Am I right? Since my pants are dark navy, I had to make the images really bright to show them more clearly. So they appear in a different colour in some pictures. Nonetheless, if you could have a look at the third picture, the left is when I wear it up to my hip bone, and right is when I wear it normally. I actually got my pants tailored already, and here's what the tailor did: He asked me to stand in just socks (without shoes), then measured the point where the trousers exactly touched the ground (see right hand side photo). Then he cut it at that point probably. Is this done correctly? I think I really prefer the look of little or no break, but it has already been tailored, and for some reason, the inside of the trouser has the mark of being tailored so I can't make a cuff now... Anyway, I would like to know if my pants length is too long. I usually wear my pants like the right hand side, so critique according to the right hand side please.
