If you mean a really light lavender, I just picked one up from my tailor. I spent way too much money on it, so yes. I would say its okay to wear. However, that said, it really is closer to a really pale blue than purple or even lavender.

Pictures would really help.

This seems fine to me. Not the most conservative color (that is obviously white)...but perfectly OK in most business settings.

What's the hangup about "ok for guys" to wear lilac shirts? I have more shirts in the pink-lilac range than any other color group. Looks great with almost anything, and a nice departure from the more common blue.

Lilac! I've been trying to find a nice lilac shirt for ages. I once tried it on with a navy jacket and maroonish tie and I looked

. The first pic seem a bit matchy with the tie and jacket for me, though #2 me likey.

Nothing wrong with that shirt.

And to avoid looking like Threadbearer's "asshole", just avoid the tweed tie. Then again the shirts in the pics Threadbearer posted look nothing like the one you are referring to.

Lilac end-on-end makes for a nice dress shirt, but I'm not a fan of solid lilac.
