Hi,

I recently ordered a MTM (espoke) suit from Joe Black. I pick up the suit in 4 weeks.
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these guys in terms of if the suit was a good fit, was it what you expected etc.

Thanks,

These are the kind of questions you should be asking before you go out and order four suits.

Yeh I know, but I stumbled across this thread after I purchased the suit and wanted to know if anyone had any experience with Joe Black.

How much was the cost of MTM? I've seen their OTR stuff and it isn't great i.e. no floating canvass, gaudy pick-stitching, poor fabrics ...

No idea on what the MTM is like though.

The MTM started at $1195, mine was $1295. They did have some fabrics that went up to $4000.

The suits are made in New Zealand. I prefer a more traditional tailoring operation i.e. being measured by the cutter. Where are you from?

just an update. i got the suit and pretty happy with the result.
admittedly they stuffed up the first order as the sales guy recommended a shorter cut on the jacket but when we tried it on it looked a tad too short. pants fit well though.
however the manager (Sarah) was really helpful and re-measured and re-ordered the jacket at no extra cost. orderd it just before christmas and came picked up in jan. she did an extra fit to tailor it a bit more which only took a few days.
very happy with the fit and would recommend.

Out of interest, which store did you go to?
