Don't take this the wrong way, but, I have a feeling that this girl is giving you the cold shoulder because you don't act like a man. Women want to feel secure and have a guy that is going to protect them and be there for them and be the one who is going to be strong and stable when things get rough. They don't want some guy who wants to sit there cuddling all the time and moaning and whining about his problems. Sure, there has to be an emotional attachment and there are times when sensitivity is required, but your woman just wants to know that she is with a man, not some over-sensitive needy whiny unstable kid that just wants to cuddle and talk about his problems.
Stereotypes are a real time saver.

I have found this to be true of animals as well. If you tell your dog or cat all your problems, it thinks less of your ability as a provider and will consequently begin to misbehave and disobey you.

Just look at the facts of the situation man. It has nothing to do with stereotyping. It's pretty clear what's going on here. Just because somebody calls something a stereotype doesn't mean that it's not true.

    Hey-

don't take this the wrong way..but I don't think you know how to satisfy a woman because the things your are saying..even I know they aren't true.

My girl has some problems cuddling- but who said this about whining and moaning? Maybe you're talking about sex [IMG] .. but please man lets not get into that because I think thats between a man and woman.

I have a serious question- if you don't tell your problems to your girl..who are you going to tell them to?

Life is short you know [IMG] .. maybe its about time to talk to the girl you love before the time is over.

I don't talk to my girl about my problems, I talk to her about my solutions. And I wasn't talking about her whining and moaning, I was talking about you whining and moaning about your problems.

As for not knowing how to satisfy a woman - I've been with the same girl going on 8 years now, I must be doing something right.

I hate to be the one to ask this question, but do you hear a buzzing sound coming from the bathroom afterward?

Cuts to sound track of Boy George singing the Crying Game.

I think that we all need cuddles at some point, this is just human to me... "The perfect male" silly social codes may be against this, but who cares after all. If one needs a cuddle, he just haves to ask for it and it can only do him good... It's a question of mentality [IMG]

    [IMG] 8 years without cuddling??

To get to the solution you must know the problem [IMG] .. so why not talk about these things with your girl?

    I didn't say 8 years without cuddling.

And, what I meant by talking about solutions instead of problems is this:

Talking about problems (bad): "Oh man hun, my life is going so badly. My job really sucks and I hate it. I'm not making enough money to support my shoe obsession. I don't know what I'm going to do. What do you think I should do?"

Talking about solutions (good): "Man hun, I hate my job and I'm not making a lot of money so I think I'm going to go back to school for another year to get a better degree. This should qualify me for a better position at that firm across town. Then, we're going to have plenty of money for my shoe obsession and for you to buy a couple of nice new dresses. It's going to be awesome."

The first one makes you sound like a whiney little girl. The second makes you sound like a stable, dependable man who has his life under control and will be there for the girl when she really needs him. There is a fundamental difference between these two approaches and the way women react to them. As much as guys here want to call what I'm saying stereotyping and what not, I still believe that a woman wants to be with a man who's dependanble and who she can lean on when times get tough. If your girl perceives you as a whiney needy little complainer who has no solutions and who needs her to solve his problems for him, that's a recipe for her losing interest, which is what your relationship sounds like. The sex may be good, but you can't base a stable, loving, caring relationship on sex alone.

In my less than professional opinion, a grown man posting on an internet message board about cuddling is a sign of impending problems.

So you do like to cuddle [IMG] [IMG]

.. I think its important for honesty in the relationship..so I don't worry so much about being the strong guy .. as for the sex part lets not get into that but I have to say I tried to stop it this weekend but it didn't last long [IMG] we watched "Titantic" again and she was feeling extra romantic after [IMG] ..but we did do some cuddling after.. !!
