What a question.

would you have asked the question if the sweater was black/gray/blue?

If you gotta ask, don't wear it because you are too unsure to be able to pull it off confidently. And confidence is what distinguishes the novice from the sartorial master.

Back to your question, yellow is not a typical color for the colder months, so for YOU, I'd say no.

Why not? After all, yellow is one of the colors of autumn leaves.

I have a white shirt with a lil purple in it and a black tie with/purple stripes i can wear with the sweater and black pants to top it off. something like this, just with a different shirt color. http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/i...entPage=family

I agree, especially if it's a sweater.

Wear what you want... when you want. Color in general is tougher for guys to pull off than solid blacks/browns/greys, but if you like the item in question, go for it. Just, if it's a brighter yellow, be sure and have that be your main "color" item and go simple with the rest... like, no green pants or red shoes.

A yellow cashmere v-neck sweater paired with mid-gray flannels and brown suede shoes is one of my favorite fall staples.

I also love yellow cashmere socks for fall.

In a word, yes. Just be sure to war it with dignity and confidence and you'll look great.

It is a sweater so I'd assume it is made to be worn during the winter, regardless of colour.
