Is it okay to wear a watch and a pinky ring on the same hand?

I just received a gold signet pinky ring, and I am torn whether to wear it on my right or left hand.

I am right handed and wear my watch on my left hand. Should I wear it on my left, as I don't want it to be marred when I right? But then I feel my left hand has too much, as there is nothing on my right hand?

Let me know what you think.

Also, is it absolutely imperative that my jewelry matches? As I have invested quite a lot in many sterling silver watches, but will I now only be able to wear gold watches with my new gold ring? Is it just preference? What are the rules?

Thanks again!

- The Preppy Gent.

It all depends on whether or not you are some kind of pimp or perhaps in the bailbonds industry.

I thought it was European to wear it on the left, and American to wear it on the right.

it's vital to maintain an optimal left/right decorative metal ratio. failure to do so will result in an internal magnetic imbalance producing an inverse alex chiu effect

I would look like a large fat gay man. You might look great.
So, you can do it,
But........everything else should be incredibly tight.

In my opinion men who wear jewelry other than a watch and wedding band look really douchey.

You can wear it on either hand, but do not expectt o get many kind responses on this board. We have some very strong opinions on here and most will not be any help.

Your question appears to presuppose that it's ever okay to wear a pinky ring.

I wore my pinky ring on the same hand as my watch, but it was a diamond pinky ring, not a signet.

Now I just wear a watch.

It's okay for me about four times a year.
