I went to gym at 6 pm and done around 8:30 pm..came home close to 9. Feeling hungry since I had my lunch around 2. Is it alright to eat this late?

Of course you should be eating after you work out. Don't worry about the fact that it is at night.

Also, your 2.5 hour workout seems rather short, you might want to ramp it up.

You should be fine as long as you eat soon.

However, DO NOT, under any circumstances, eat after midnight.

I would say take some stuff with you so you can eat immediately after your workout on your way home from work. An apple and some peanut butter.

When you get home (since you're eating so late) have some lean protein and some veggies. That is kinda late to be eating, but what can you do... you gotta eat.

I eat a lot of fruits after working out, there is nothing wrong with it.

Your total cal intake for the day is your total cal intake for the day (within reason). Your goals (which are a secret, apparently) dictate whether you should be eating right now or not.

Eat immediately after your workout. What does someone actually do in the gym for 2.5 hours besides waste time.
