Is it ever ok for men to tuck pants in boots?

For every great outfit he has on his blog, he's got about a thousand horrible outfits. I wouldn't look towards him for any style advice whatsoever.

I have no qualms about tucking into my 8" boots on days like yesterday in NYC.

There are still 4" slush puddles at some sidewalk intersections...

When tucked like the case above, I cringe...

I live in New England so I fell New Yorker's pain. My solution is REI trail gaiters with hiking boots

I really see no point of risking your head by walking in dress shoes or boots in sluch and 6 feet of the snow on sidewalks.

Honestly I think some of you guys are blowing this out of proportions. You co-workers have other things on their mind and after a couple of hours showeling the snow they could care less if you show up in LE mocs or tucked in $1000 dress boots.

How else will I wear my jodhpurs?

Must say, the riding boot look was badass. It's one of the sigh-worthy oversights of fashion that the look has now vanished, likely forever. Along with the top hat and unironic handlebar mustache.

Or if you are in the military.....in that case tuck away.

Yes.
I tucked my pants into my kevlar snakeproof boots a couple of weekends ago when we were hunting quail, it was very very muddy...

It is only acceptable if:
- they are extremely skinny jeans
- your legs go up to your armpits
- Michaelangelo could not improve upon the sculpting of the seat
- your chromosomes display an XX configuration

I tuck my pants into my sorels...why the hell wouldn't you?

I do not tuck my pants into boots that are made to remain on your feet once you arrive at your destination.

I like the look with concurrently tucking your shirt into your underwear

That's a good delineation of when to tuck and when not to tuck. I always tuck into my Caribous when I am sloshing around outside.
