Crew sweater for $100 is not going to be the same as something LP sells themselves for $1000.) Perfectly decent for $100. I wouldn't worry about it.

A few years ago I sold a coat in that exact same color and style with that same LP tag for a hell of a lot more than you paid for yours so I would say you did very very well. Wear it in good health.

I have been told that Loro Piana did not make men's clothes prior to 1999 and that is somewhat in support of this view (although 100 % certainty is enough for me). The same person suggested it was made by an Italian factory specialising in clothes for brands and shops.

Could be - but that factory has nothing to do with Loro Piana. They bought the fabric from Loro Piana, they included their labels with the fabric. Whoever built the jacket put that tag on it to show that it was made of good cloth.

It could be made by LP (verrrryyyy unlikely) for the Weber, but you can tell them how good you want the item. I believe it’s not up to LP construction , but the cloths is supposedly LP. You can still buy LP cloth today, go to a tailor of your choice tell them make something.
