@Tag:: Road To Rupert!! One of my all time favorite episodes.
Wasn't it the one with the sweater where he went to the BBC to go live with the people on that kid's tv show and was horribly dissapointed? ninjaedit: Chapelle Show has a few stellar moments but you have to wade through some average stuff to get to it. Clayton Bigsby still slays me.

It's not that it was a horrible sweater but he couldn't imagine when he would ever wear it. "Jolly Farm Revue" xD

One of the more memorable sketches has to be Dave playing PS2 with the child with cancer.

My two favorite skits were the one where Dave is inside the internet, and the Fear Factor one with the crackhead. "You might not know this about me, Joe Rogan, but I smoke rocks"

OK seriously Chapelle's Show had so many good skits.

Mad Real World anyone? "Yo, this my dude Lysol, fresh out the joint."

I love when they stole the girl and the white dude is left crying and jacking it in the dark.

I have to be the only person in the world that thinks the Rick James sketch is not his best work though. Its funny but I wouldn't kill to watch it again. Prince sketch owns it.

    Game. Blouses.

Chappelle's Show was fantastic but there was a lot of filler for sure. Family Guy has no redeeming qualities.

I feel like Family Guy during its first run often channeled The Simpsons right after their peak seasons. The show relied less on cut-away gags and had some incredibly clever lines/sequences each episode.

Since its return, FG has become bogged down with the pop culture references, cut-away gags, and general need to push the envelope for the sake of pushing the envelope. There's still some great episodes from the second run, but it's become almost unwatchable over the last season or two.

I chalk it up to Seth spreading himself thin between this and American Dad, not to mention his widespread disdain for anything. FG has never shied away from prodding at celebrities or ideals, but it used to be done in a more clever fashion. Now, it just seems mean-spirited and unfunny most of the time. And I don't get offended easily.

As for Chappelle's Show, it's a series I think had some timeless comedic and social value. But there was a lot of content that won't stand the test of time. I've always been a Chappelle fan for his ability to intertwine social commentary with his extraordinary wit. Too often those were absent from Chappelle's Show skits, which relied on crude humor for what seemed like the sake of crude humor.

PK has brought up an interesting point. American Dad needs to die.

I obviously don't have the appreciation for negro culture that you do.

I don't think the Chapelle Show was unfunny, just vastly overrated. His standup is much better, IMO.

Hell yes, it's fucking funny. You guys sound like the "oh, it's popular with the masses, therefore it cannot possibly be funny" crowd. Weak!

The same people say that about Dane Cook naysayers. They're also wrong.

I like it, but I prefer to quote Prince Phillip or Hitler.

No, and if my brother-in-law doesn't stop his endless retelling of Family Guy plot lines to me, I'm going to make him sound like that retarded baby on the cartoon.

    The correct answer is no.

One of the few shows worth watching!

    This is not surprising.
