It sounds like licensed Balenciaga; the first link I provided with the silver tag is the Ghesquiere designed stuff.

Of course, it doesn't mean that your sweater isn't decent or not authentic; it just isn't technically the current manifestation of Balenciaga. Sort of like having a "Dior Monsieur" shirt from 1992 probably isn't a terrible shirt or inauthentic, it just isn't "Dior Homme."
