    Hello,
Might be living in Ireland for 6 months or so for an internship, i've been looking around before for good choices in terms of both quality and price regarding suits.
    -Turkey
    -Spain
Those countries seemed to be good alternatives, but now since i will be traveling to Cork soon, i am considering Ireland as a country to get a suit tailored.

ANyone got an advice on European countries, or Experience where to get a suit tailored for a fair price? (i need my kidneys, and at least one eye)

http://www.johnstontailors.com/ are in Dublin. Around 1200 for a three piece.

http://www.davidyoungbespoketailor.com/ are in Galway. Don't know the pricing, but would assume it would be similar.

As far as I know these are the only two genuine bespoke tailors operating in Ireland today, and I have done extensive searching. Years ago I used to use Peter McAllister in Belfast, but he is long gone. In fact my father brought me in to him for my first bespoke suit on my 18th birthday. Still have it, though I have increased in girth somewhat! The price quote I mentioned for Johnstons is very recent , and on a par with what I have been paying in Hong Kong recently. However I haven't seen any of his work, though he seems to be popular with the Kildare horsey set.

Woaw 1200 so expensive for a first suit, might not even be able to pay it with my first intern salary...Well where to get in Europe to get something decent for a fair price?
Thanks for the answers [IMG] nice

Peon, you might have more success with your question if you could be more specific about budget and location. Europe is a big place and a fair price can mean one thing to you and something else to another (I'm sure every bespoke customer believes their tailor's price to be fair, or they wouldn't still be their customer). And if someone said you can get a nice suit for £400 in Bratislava or wherever, would you really hop on a plane just for that? It's a bit like saying "I'm visiting Chicago - where in America should I go to buy a reasonably priced pair of shoes - are Texas or Oregon good?"

Not much help to you, but I thought I'd add that Jonathan Quearney travels to Dublin (his native city I believe). He has a MTM suit option under £1000 GBP (bespoke more like £2.5k).

There are a number of bespoke tailors working in Ireland even now. Some will do a two-piece starting at around E850-900. That would be canvassed. Not all on this list offer a fully canvassed suit, some of those will do it on request.
