Apple's announcing the latest BIG upgrade to the iPhone OS. Some pretty cool upgrades to the applications/app store and the big news...COPY AND PASTE!

This is, of course, for those of us who decided to follow the rules and not jailbreak our phones.

Wow, copy & paste. What is next, video? Decent camera lens? Ohhhh, I know, a file manager or a way to organise & customise a slew of icons! These phones are getting so impressive!

This announcement made the difference between buying an iPhone and a Blackberry for me.

Copy and paste is pretty sweet. I was just doing something on my iphone yesterday where I wished I had that function.

If they can somehow get a flash player, that would be awesome.

^^^ yea that's what I figure, but since this upgrade seems "bigger" I would have assumed it costing something thru the iTunes store

safe assumption based on apple's history but i would guess that it's a free upgrade. the 2.0 was a major jump and was free.

It is free for all iPhone owners and it will be released in June. It will cost 10 bucks for iPod Touch owners.

Ugh, now I have to un-jailbreak my phone, save my settings, upgrade, re-jailbreak, and load my old ****. What a hassle. Apple is a pretty ******* Nazi-like company.

It's still better than a Blackberry though.

You can tell they're starting to push the original iPhone owners into purchasing the 3G version.

There will be no MMS capabilities on the original iPhone. I don't send stupid picture texts back and forth, so it doesn't bother me at all.
