That's what I'm thinking as well. It will just be the new iPhone, like with the iPad, no numbers.

iPhone, iPad, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, Mac Mini, iPod Touch, iPod Mini, etc. no numbers and letters at all.

How do you just get the warranty department to send you a free new phone without any justified need for one?

I too thought they were ditching the number with the iPhone until I saw the invite. No chance it won't be the '5'.

Apple ditched the number with the iPad this year because of the upcoming iPad Mini. The iPhone however will continue to have a tag of some kind. You'll see next Wednesday.

I'm pretty sure this isn't true. AT&T's 4G and LTE speeds should be as fast, if not faster, on the new iPhone compared to Verizon's version. The only nod to Verizon is that they have LTE deployed in more areas across America compared to AT&T.

I've been due for an upgrade since December of 2011. My contract expired this past July. I didn't get the 4S because I knew the redesign was coming this year.

The iPhone 3G was my first smartphone back in 08'. I know that excitement.

If you are happy with ATT's service, then I would pre-order the iPhone 5 as soon as it's offered online.

My understanding is they are comparable in speeds. Best bet is to go with the one that provides the best coverage in your area and/or pricing that makes the most sense for you. I'm sticking on ATT because of the family plan pricing. Otherwise I would entertain the idea of switching.

You just take it into an apple store and say that?

Yeah, but I prefer to call the Verizon warranty department. (because I don't have to drive anywhere)

My phone is: freezing, restarting randomly, loosing signal, screen randomly turns off, gets hot.

There are a number of excuses you can use if you just want to have your phone replaced.

Remember the warranty last for 1 year after the purchase date. If the tech is being a prick I start talking in tech language that will either cause him/her to, look at me as an equal or realize I know more than he/she does. I usually get what I want.

After learning about the lemon law in 9th grade I started taking advantage of the system and I had a new phone every 4-6 months. I would not take advantage of the system like this again but I don't see the harm in switching my phone once during the 1 year warranty period.

I don't think Lemon Laws go out that long, do they? Aren't they designed to protect you from finding out that the product you just bought is a "lemon" right off the bat? Not provide protection 6 months to a year out.

"Apple will be the exclusive initial vendor of a new Dock Connector Adapter, to be sold individually and/or in three-packs. According to sources, the Dock Connector Adapters will sell for approximately $10 each or three for $29, with Apple-branded new USB cables selling for $19 each." - iLounge

    Everybody can relax now.

$10 is not bad, but LOL at the whole $1 in savings for buying three at once.

Cue MikeDT to tell us how they will be $50 each in China.

It's good that they will offer 3-packs too.
