Dah, I believe you may be incorrect from what I have read. Here is a press release straight from AT&T that says its included. Let me know if I am missing anything.

This is only for the new shared data plans. You don't get this if you want to stay grandfathered in on the old plans. It's part of the incentives they are offering to get people to switch plans and for new customers.

spoke to verizon rep, if i get the phone at full price i can keep my unlimited data plan, if i upgrade with the discounted price i have to moved into a tiered plan.

my 3-month average data use is 0.3something GB/month ... i guess even the 2gb/month @ 30$ is enough and is same price as my current unlimited data

Just picked up the Casecrown for $20 2-3 day shipping. I like the idea of felt inner and it to me seems like the most minimal in terms of design and in hand.

Shah you're going to like your new iPhone : )

Any of you folk who are married or in a serious relationship should look into this app. https://avocado.io/?df

It creates a personal "social network" for couples. Lets you exchange messages, photos and to do lists. It's a cool little concept.

I drove to LA this weekend, and used the iOS 6 Maps on my AT&T iPhone 4. I think it's been overblown how bad it is. First, the traffic info worked fine, and was accurate and timely (and LA traffic on Saturday can be unpredictable), and I think it's as functional as the Google Maps app. Second, I do have some quibbles, but mostly about the design. The lower-left arrow indicator to select tracking and compass mode has a very small, hard-to-see purple indicator to say when it's tracking you. It's really hard to see in a car especially with bright sunlight, so I had to keep toggling it to make sure I was in the right mode.

Why was I toggling it? Because when you swipe down the notifications panel, the Maps app would stop tracking you, so you had reenable tracking. I think it may have been misreading touch input meant for the notifications panel, because multitasking away and back to the Maps app didn't affect it.

Maps is missing a lot of info still, but that tends to be stuff like stores and hotels. The roads info seems fine.

Other things: LTE is freaking fast. I brought my VZW LTE iPad with me because I'm considering switching to Verizon for the iPhone 5 because there's no AT&T LTE where I live, and there are parts of LA where reception is awful (the inside of Disney Hall for example). In Little Tokyo, LTE is so fast, my Facebook notifications came up as the screen refreshed. There was literally no wait time. It was a bit slower inside the concert hall, but far faster and more reliable than the iPhone.

In iOS6, they've separated out the volume controls for music and sound effects (eg. keyboard clicks), so if you still want to adjust both with the side control, you have to enable the controls for sound effects. After that, it works like iOS 5.
