White 16G wifi just shipped last night. I suppose it'll be here on Friday since it's already in Canada (and not asia, where it usually starts..)

Have the black iPad 2, so I thought white would be a good alternative this time around...

...I've only used my iPad @ home, on vacation and on the airplane. So, wifi is enough. I never had the itching to walk around town w/ an iPad out. That;s what the phone is for...

Dude, just walk into a Verizon and buy it there. They'll have them opening day as well. Apple won't charge your card until it ships.

My accessories arrived this morning. Now I'm anxious for the iPad to come.

I already thought of this and it's an option. I can't really camp out overnight, but might be able to pull off getting to the store a little early. Most people will be hitting one of the two Apple stores in town, not the carriers.

The Apple store will be nuts. I'm betting you can sneak into a Verizon. But, I don't know what their supply will be like. Maybe call a few stores the day before the launch.

Legally it's not yet, I am just trying to get use to putting it in place of my birth name and everyone calls me Kurt anyways... Sorry if it bothers you.

I use one on the original iPad. It works well, and I've mostly used it for looking at videos off a GoPro. Some crazy audiophiles use the USB dongle to connect up USB DACs, too.

Pshhhh! I wish. But gotta save my monies for some upcoming trips. Which, these trips might be more enjoyable with an iPad in tote....hmmmmmm.

i use the camera kit a lot. i've yet to use the USB one but the SD card gets used heavily for loading pics, docs, pdf files, etc. it's particularly handy for clearing out a camera card on trips. just drop them to the ipad, wipe it, and keep shooting.

i was one of those stupid people for a while. for the longest time, i couldn't figure out how to get the files off the ipad once on it because they don't load into the "camera roll" which is where icloud and itunes look for files. you have to load them on the ipad and then make a new folder for them. once the folder is made, they're converted from an "event" to a folder accessible via normal methods.

it's really weird that the extra step is needed but even weirder that apple makes no mention of the process anywhere.

i assume the new iphoto app will address this.

I just can't justify going 4g. The data packages, IMO, are not conducive to 4g usage. Did you decide on a case yet?

Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by that?

I suspect he means that given the fast speeds of 4G, you're likely to blow through the allotted data much quicker, and thus end up with a much higher bill than you thought you would.
