I think Socal is just like the fashion editors and buyers out there. They are confused or mystified by what I am showing them . The fashion community is holding back waiting for someone else to break the story because they dont want to ruin their reputation with Eric Glennie. I just dont think SoCal understands what I am introducing because it is totally different than what is suppose to be innovative menswear.

I'm still not sure if he's serious or the most elaborate troll ever. I mean, really, I have no reason to think he's serious other than the fact that keeping this act up and putting all this time and effort into it seems completely implausible.

A true artist doesnt have pricetags. I design because I love it and if someone wants to buy it , then fine. If you are into fashion or art for the money, then your heart and spirit will not show up in your piece.

Picasso didnt paint to make money, Picasso loved to paint and people bought them.

Bullshit. I was a professional classical musician for 15 years. The days of the court doling out coin so the arts could exist unfettered ended with Beethoven.

The "artists should starve rather than pay their bills" is a non starter and has been for 3 centuries.

Pcasso started beating the pavement to sell his works even before he was twenty.

I see nothing at all wrong with this statement, except comparing yourself to somebody so lowly as Picasso. You are an artist without equal, the Louvre being the appropriate showcase for your creations, not our necks.

Everyone here is missing the forest for the trees. Eric Glennie is an artist, but his true medium is not clothing; it's photography. Look at that stark white backdrop and harsh flash! The brutal lighting and total decontextualization reduces those bizarre tie knots to flat, degraded images of sartorial pornography. Every one of his creations is the fashion equivalent of an ass-to-mouth cumshot smeared with runny mascara. Gentlemen, I now unmask Eric Glennie as none other than Terry Richardson moonlighting as a styleforum troll! Compare his photos with these by the famous photographer:

Many of the knots you will need LONG ties to actually wear properly. Some of the knots have the blade so short after you will be lucky if it fits a child
