I know, I'm just looking to have as clear an idea as possible about sizing before I order, to avoid ending up having the sweater fit like it did for eskimobob1. Ideally, I'd like to have it be comfortably snug without getting into the sausage casing territory that zissou mentioned, and since I have to deal with customs and shipping to the US, I want measure twice and cut once.

Oh, I should have included that I have no idea what the fit is like on the newer models :embar:

eying that Mustard Yellow 1A on End, is 25% off a good deal or will End go down further? And why does the 1A's weaving pattern look just like a machine-loomed John Molloy? Is 1A still hand-knitted?

Separate Q: anyone familiar with John Molloy's sweater? How is John Molloy compared to Inverallan in term of thickness and wool quality/scratchiness?

I'm going to guess it's because they use similar patterns.

I've never seen a better deal on Inverallan than End's 20-25% off. Keep in mind, though, that you will undoubtedly be hit with duties.

    Sleeves seem a bit short.

Could try stretching them carefully after a soak?

so after a bit of perusing, it seems that the 1A generally fits a bit larger than the 3A or 6A? Is that correct?

Mike, I don't think you should be pursuing that knit any further.

I normally wear a size 35 jacket and size small in Gitman; what size should I get in the 1A?

So torn. I want a 1A so bad but since there's no easy way to try one on or return it I'm having serious second thoughts about the sizing.

I found a 1A size 36 from last season that's apparently 19.5" p2p, length of 24.5" and an approx sleeve of 24", and then a size 38 from this season which is apparently a 20" p2p and a 26" length. Something doesn't add up really unless the sizing changes that much from year to year?

I'm 5'7", 140lbs, slightly athletic build (37 or 38" chest). No idea which one to pull the trigger on but I'm thinking the first one.

Just order it from End and take a punt. It's easy to order two seasons and return one. I did with the 1A just a few weeks back. Sadly it wasn't for me. 6A and 3A, the latter being my favorite, both work, but the 1A just didn't.

Anybody remember if Inverallans get marked down with End's first drops in their Winter sale?
