Hey Everyone Ive just been reading this thread wow !! I dont usually do forums but just thought I could maybe add to this. A year or so back I was up in Scotland on holiday and I actually had the pleasure of meeting the ladies from Inverallan, they are in a small town and when I was there in their factory, purchasing a lovely 3A in Natural [IMG] one of the knitters actually arrived whilst I was there with sweaters for them !! Ive got to say though I couldnt really care where they are made, they are a great product at a great price and you dont see everyone questioning all the other big brands out there about their stuff, in fact they probably wouldnt even reply to us lol

You need to read that again, the news is new, the law is old, they just didn't implement it until 3 years ago.

Look, if you can't pay somebody a fair wage to make your product, it shouldn't be produced. "If they don't think the wage is enough they can go elsewhere" is the same argument Wal-Mart uses today and that most huge companies in the US were trying to play before unionization took off. Minimum wage laws exist to stop exactly that type of exploitation. I have a hard time believing that not a single one of those knitters would have minded getting minimum wage for that work.

Now excuse me while I go snuggle up in my slave-made chunky cardigan.

Yea, it was published March 9, 2003. I didn't catch that either. I wonder how they were able to get around the laws.

I've just seen some of you were wondering : they directly ship to you. I'm not related to them. I just posted here to allow people to get the stuff for a reasonable price.

The descriptions on End still say Made in Scotland? Are we sure that they're made in New Delhi or Ireland now?

They "closed down" in 2010 or 2011 and reopened like before mentioned and earlier in this thread.

Ordered a 3A in wine and a knit cap in loding green yesterday. Shannon was a pleasure to deal with via email. 12 week minimum wait.

I've been eyeing the 3A for a long time and I wanted to make sure I got one, especially after all this talk about the companies stability. I think the darker colors are a little under rated around here.

Glad you agree. When I saw that wine color, my heart sank haha. It will match literally everything in my wardrobe.

They were also out of large Russian fur hats....

I have a 6A in the wine and it's one of my nicest pieces of clothing. It goes with everything, too.

All great to hear. If I love this sweater as much as I expect, I'll be getting another one, probably patterned.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with turtlenecks from them. I was hoping for something heavy and chunky like their sweaters.

I have a couple of the cardigans and they're on the lower end of the quality spectrum of my knitwear.
