Still waiting for my Inverallan 6A to arrive from the Mandon store (ordered over 2 weeks ago). And they refuse to reply to my email.

EDIT: Hey! Funny, just got a reply from them

They are terrible at answering emails. A phone call is always better.

looks nice but that place seems expensive. End looks to have much better pricing, after you take into account the 20% VAT discount...but they don't have my size.

I returned mine in the sky blue. Looked a little old-lady-ish in that color.

How do the hats fit size wise and coarse is the wool?

If it's the same wool it's a little scratchy but not that bad, I wear my cardigan with a tshirt and it's fine.

Mine is huge, but it's fairly old stock so newer stuff might be smaller. Wool is the same as most Inverallan - fairly coarse - I find it fine, but if you're sensitive to wool...

Let's hope so, as I have a huge head. :embar:

That was sort of was I was afraid of, as I'm a little sensitive to wool, but I have worn my Peter Jensen wool hat for years without any problems, so I may give it a go.

I have a huge head, too, and they fit me just fine.

How does Inverallan wool compare to the stuff used by SNS Herning?
Is it about the same in terms of itchiness/texture?

Was thinking about grabbing a 6A but might not if it's not going to be comfortable wearing it.

Inverallen is a lot softer. Don't worry.

    Softer and less tightly knitted

^Mine are very tightly knitted, but heavier gauge yarn. Inverallan wool is definitely nicer than SNS.
