I been using safety razors and shaving soap for over a year.
Just bought my own straight razor, My strop is taking forever to get hear so I been using my belt in a pinch. Been playing with knives cents I was 6, So I been able to avoided any cuts or nicks so far, see how long that last. THough I almost cut myself with the thing, Hand almost slipped.
So saved my face, think I need a better strop, will I got smooth shave on the under chin, I still got stubble on the corner of it, that you can't see, but can feel, Sorta the same on my cheek, bit I can feel that got a much closer cut.

My blade is a 14 dollar red deer, I use Cedarwood Sage & Hops Artisan Shaving Soap Bar from the soup caddy, sadly I think it is out of stock.
Still learning to got comfortable with the razor. hefty thing from red deer, cheep, but perfect for a starter.
