1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

I'm a student from the UK. Into the whole street style, brands like Norse Projects, Carhartt, APC, Ralph Lauren, Lyle and Scott, Fred Perry. Being a student I'm on a filthy budget so I've got to buy less and buy quality, thought I'd join up to find some advice.

    Hello everyone,

I'm Daniel, a 30-ish software engineer and prospective businessman from Eastern Europe. My professional life is mostly centered in East Coast USA as of now. I am somewhat bohemian by nature, and loved the "insane artist" way of dressing almost to death, which, as I moved ahead in my professional life, slowly started translating into a love for dapperism.

I am in the process of building a proper wardrobe, and am pretty much a beginner. As for tastes, I prefer a mixture of Ivy League nonchalance and Italian fit and silhouette. I take good care of my contours and like making use of them, and am always on the lookout of thinking (and dressing) outside the box without breaking it.

I hope I'll be able to get some good advice here in the future.

Hi there, I'm a first timer. I'm in 12th grade and I mostly joined this site because I'm trying to look for a picture of a I saw on this website a year or so ago. What struck me about this Cardigan was that it had this amazing thick shawl collar that draped and collapsed luxuriously all the way down the Cardigan to the bottom, it was grey and a black man was modeling for it. I can't remember if it was corded or not. Could anyone help me out or am I being completely unhelpful in my description? But I digress uh, yeh I like this website a lot just wish I could make my own clothes or find affordable clothes to be honest that would be cool, or find a place with stylish clothes, but the only thing around these days for kids like me is shit like Urban Outfitters. and even that's expensive. Now I'm just ranting.

Hi, I'm new to styleforum, found this place after doing some searches on the net because I'm interested in dressing better. I'm 32 years old and currently live in San Diego. I'm looking to move beyond t-shirts and shorts but I'm 5'1" 150lbs with a muscular body type and nothing I buy ever fits. I'm just here to learn as much as I can because I'm tired of clothing that is way too big on me! I'm looking forward to hearing the good advice.

Late 20s project/program professional from sunny-island-set-in-the-sea-Singapore here who wants to dress better in an environment where most locals are plain sloppy.

Found a great tailor and decent alterations place (OTR stuff don't fit me well even if they're cut "super slim fit") and starting slow but steady.

I've been a lurker for a long time. I'm a mid twenties flight attendant living in the south. I appreciate a good pair of JNCO jeans and Affliction graphic tee.

    HI
new to styling, but trying to learn.
reading this forum, youtube vids, blogs to better my looks.
Going from oversized shirts to good fts.
one thing i've learned from reading is that fit is #1 not brand or price, be it super high or super sale.
if it doesnt fit dont get it.

Hey, I'm ssrock64 (mostly because I'm privacy-paranoid). I found StyleForum by looking into Huddler (I've been an active Head-Fi member for years) after seeing the name at the bottom of Head-Fi.

My tastes are mainly focused on semi-casual outerwear, especially the dramatic. I don't have much of a budget so I end up buying from cheap South Korean brands over Amazon, but once I'm out of school and making some cash I plan on upgrading my collection. I also, when without outerwear, like to wear slim-fitting (but not skin-tight) shirts and pants, and I'm one of the only people I know who pays attention to their shoes in terms of coordinating an outfit. I have a weird habit of wearing black socks, which can sometimes clash with what I'm wearing overall. My current area of study requires professionalism in clothing, so I tend to wear formal shirts and ties, too.

    Hey gang,

I've been lurking on here for a little while now - long enough to realize that perhaps I don't dress so well. I was a bit of a label whore previously and I'm over that now. The tough part will be rebuilding my wardrobe. Luckily, I do have a good size budget, but not large enough to buy everything all at once. It'll be a slow process.

I'm a professional cubicle-sitter in LA, where the dress code is business casual. I'm trying to upgrade my style. I'm 5'4" and ~135 lbs with a somewhat athletic build so a good fit is paramount, but definitely hard to come across. I keep my local tailor in business.

I would appreciate any advice I could get and I'm looking forward to being a member of this forum.
