Hello Dark-Mysterio, As we like to say in the USA, Bon Jovi. 😆 I like the way that you describe your esthetic. I came of age (my high school era) during the original punk movemen which at the time was based in NYC . The original vibe was a reflection of urban street wear. Absolutely no contradiction in biker wear or even skater style. Zoot suiting is a whole different vibe & distinct heritage unto itself. So much for my ‘2 cents worth ‘.Hello,Bonjour (or Bonsoir) i come from France,Lyon, older young adult (around 25 early 30)
Mainly interested in "everything urban" (urbancore) or some form (something like dat) of streetwear/hip hop Fashion as my future new style but i also like looking at similar trend like skater style or to a lesser extent others form of "street culture fashion" like emo/gothic,punk... or old school one/others street style like bikers, greasers, zoot suiters... or even Aesthetics like geek/nerd style (especially a more streetwear one) or even vagabond/"borderline homeless style ?".
Hello birmie, welcome!Hi. Old fella from the UK. Recently discovered Japanese menswear - EG, Fujito, Still by Hand, Porter Yoshida, Burgus Plus, ... Have lurked for ages and now inspired to post due to quality of what I see for sale here (versus the bay).
I mentioned Zoot suit style which i find interesting (at least if im not wearing it) with Characters such as the Mask Movies in the 90's or in Saint Row video games Gang Leader Hector Lopez (im 2000's kids) as this fit a "Urban style/everything urban idea" (urbancore aesthetics but idk if there exactly style considered non Urban) that's is not before the 1900's (unless cowboy style maybe don't like anything before the 1900's) altrought i know this isn't exactly a "streetwear style" or "alt style" (emo,punk...).Hello Dark-Mysterio, As we like to say in the USA, Bon Jovi. 😆 I like the way that you describe your esthetic. Anyway…welcome to the the forum!
Howdy, I suppose that ‘non urban’ esthetic would encompass formal & dress wear including office attire.I mentioned Zoot suit style which i find interesting (at least if im not wearing it) with Characters such as the Mask Movies in the 90's or in Saint Row video games Gang Leader Hector Lopez (im 2000's kids) as this fit a "Urban style/everything urban idea" (urbancore aesthetics but idk if there exactly style considered non Urban) that's is not before the 1900's (unless cowboy style maybe don't like anything before the 1900's) altrought i know this isn't exactly a "streetwear style" or "alt style" (emo,punk...).
i also forgot than in my style (for the future/evolution of my style) i also like a street fighter/"pro wrestling" style inspired from games such as the Def Jam series (did i Already mention i was a 2000's kids anyway ) or with some others basic street fighter (scrapper aesthetics) film or video game and inspiration from pro wrestling (no i don't practice any combat sport altrought i would like in the future i just like this aesthetics and like a lot people i used tho watch wwe/pro wrestling when i was younger and still do altrought less regularly) as it's also can mix with the vagabond/"borderline homeless style ?" and streetwear/hip hop Fashion.
Or my 3 main things to resumate some of my future style (which i want tho ask this forum/community for help in a future tread for it) for thos who didn't understand my first post
-a streetwear/hip hop fashion style (or somewhat).
-tuned (or somewhat tuned) to fit a Vagabond style if not borderline homeless
-some element from a scrapper/street fighter and pro wrestling element (meybe in the future).
I will stick to this future style and i will see in the future if i change anythings.
G’day, I‘ll soon be joining you ‘down under’. Glad that you did drop in to join. Welcome mate!G'day from Australia. I have been dropping in since 2008ish. I guess it's time to join.
I personally enjoy oversized looks! Why do you believe they are not for you?I'm trying oversized clothes as they are trendy now and people look younger on them. But it seems that they are not for me.
A fitted shirt with oversized pants and tasteful accessories can do wonders! Great proportions, too. However I think oversized fits are slowly giving way to more tailored fits these days, so one could go slightly less baggy on the pants.Cause I look fat on them (( Oversized pants are Ok, but tees are no-nos
Hi, _Alexander_:, welcome to the forum!Hello everyone. I've come to this forum because my style has changed dramatically over the past few years -- from high streetwear to refined menswear. As I finish college and enter the professional world, I find myself dressing far more formally than my peers and have come to this forum to share in my pursuits. I recently picked up a Hickey Freeman 3-button Madison suit that I will be asking about in this forum shortly!
