Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Hello, I'm Pravin (pronounced prah-VEEN). I wore casual clothes all my life (jeans, t-shirts, polos, sneakers etc.).

I became interested in fashion earlier this year after Derek Guy (@dieworkwear) showed up on my Twitter feed and one thing led to another and here I am.

I am very much a noobie and this forum has been invaluable. I made my first purchases from No Man Walks Alone, Spier and MacKay, SuitSupply, eBay and private sales here. I was in London earlier this year and managed to pick up a Barbour Beaufort (40th anniversary edition). As you can tell, I am completely hooked.

Thanks to those who have already given me advice and thanks in advance to those who are going to in the future.

Hi Pravin, whether ‘noobie’ or ‘oldbie’, there’s always more to learn. Welcome to the forum!

Hey all, happy to be here. Have gotten into clothes as a fun hobby after spending a decade in ratty grad school clothes--excited to learn more from the community here!

Hi,

as so many before me, I've been using Styleforum as a research resource for some time now. I'm not sure what moved me to join at this specific moment but I'm excited to be here!

I'm Maxim, musician, historian, teacher, and aspiring (yet painfully mediocre) chess player from Germany. Topically speaking, I'm still very much in the process of exploring what styles and pieces speak to me. That being said, vintage Ralph, rugged americana, British suiting and knitwear certainly do.

Thank you for having me!

It's been years since Ive been around these parts. The long time members would know me by a different name. That name would be "Crane's" and I might know a thing or two about Filson. LOL!

Well thanks! I'm still at the store. With that said I'm officially unofficially back. I'm not sure what I can post promo wise but I'll figure it out. Hell I don't even know who runs the place anymore. Is Fok still around?

Hello,
I've been a long time lurker and only recently made an account. I now think it's time to be a bit more active. I'm big into classic menswear. Unfortunately I'm a bit limited in choices due to living Canada, but so far have made out pretty good with my options. I look forward to contributing with what I've learned over the last 6 months since my introduction to the community.

Cheers!

Hi!

My name is Steve. I'm 29-years-old and live in Philadelphia with my fiancee and three cats. This is my first time ever on this site and it's a little intimidating, to be honest. I've casually read and posted on r/MFA for about ten years but never considered fashion/style/clothing to be a massive part of my life. My style has been fairly consistent throughout my twenties and would probably be categorized as basic bastard or utilitarian to most.

Earlier this year I bought my first suit and it sort of inspired me to learn more about classic and traditional menswear, which led me here. Since I am getting married in the spring, I have been planning what to wear on my big day and I'm really looking forward to building my outfit and being able to express myself.

Outside of that, I enjoy hiking, reading sci-fi and fantasy, video games, playing guitar, and music (mostly jazz, avant-garde, and progressive rock).

Cheers!

I'm Matt and I started getting into thinking more about clothes and outfits during lockdown, which is pretty ironic because nobody saw me. My style has gone from pretty minimalist basic bastard to a more Americana vibe, but a recent return to a corporate office job after freelancing has seen me take more of an interest in tailoring and classic menswear.

I'm in my early 30s and live in Ireland with my wife and cats.
