I go by chameshi_nampa and can normally be found on /r/malefashionadvice. I've had an interest in fashion, but didn't pursue it further until last year. That's when I stumbled upon /r/malefashionadvice, which then led me to other online fashion resources like SF. Prior to that, I would dress based on what I saw celebrities or others in my peer group wear. Nowadays I just try to keep an open mind while learning what I can from fashion enthusiasts more knowledgeable than I. Thanks for having me here. Hey Guys,

my name is Filip, math student, I live in Düsseldorf, Germany. I like style and I just recently found out about this forum. I'm curious what awaits me here - hopefully nice conversations with like-minded people.

Style is important to me, sometimes I like to say I'm a style-chameleon.

I wear sportive: asics sneakers, tightly cut blue or grey/black jeans, a simple thin sweatshirt unicolor grey/blue with a beanie. My beanie colours at the moment: black, burgundy, turquoise and coral. I like to wear a matching t-shirt under my sweatshirt. At the moment rounding it off with a nice grey leather jacket. I bought this jacket in almost new quality for 1/3 of the price via eBay classifieds. The guy had grown too big for it.

On other days I like to go more sophisticated: Timberland boat or light brown leather shoes with matching belt, same tight jeans, a stylish shirt with 2 buttons undone, my favorite blue felt Barbour jacket. I bought this jacket on sale for almost 1/3 of the price 3 years ago.

I like to make a good deal and I don't believe good style has to be expensive. That's why I also frequent HM, Zara and Pull&Bear for basic pieces. I gladly spend money on quality though. If I know what I am spending it on, it's worth the investment a lot of the time. I try to stay away from the overpriced stuff, however.

I like hair pomade and beard oil. Switch it up with contacts or my nerd glasses.

One of my best friends has a really cool style. He studies art at the academy here and sets his own standards. I might post more about him another time.

A few years ago my style was surfer/skater with bracelets, lots of Quicksilver, Billabong and those kinds of brands. Then I decided to switch to preppy. Nowadays I combine preppy with classic menswear items, flannels etc.
My interests are traveling, menswear, shoes, beer and whisky, sports, social science, movies and series etc.

I checked your Insta-Profile. Your style is neat. One can see that it suits you more than your old surfer boy self. I'd suggest you switching up that selfie position in front of the mirror. Let it come more naturally: have friends take pix of you. My advice is that the most natural pictures happen when you are not posing for them
