Hi,

I searched the forum, but came a little short.
I have an interview coming up with the managing partner for a position in risk consulting. I'd like your opinion on what would an appropriate shirt/tie combo be.

Specs on me:
height - 5'7
weight - 130 lbs
hair - very dark brown, a bit on the bold side with very short hair cut
skin color - white

I have 4 solid color suits to choose from - navy, charcoal, dark grey, medium grey. The suits are slim fit.
The shoes and the belt are black (I do not intend to buy brown/burgundy shoes/belt for this occasions, so please keep this in mind with recommendations).

These being said, what shirt/tie combo would you recommend with the suits that I have.

Thank you in advance

Risk consulting but you are not equipped to measure your own risks with your clothes.

Reject the candidate.

Navy with a white shirt and a conservative tie.

Thanks. That's interesting, as I always thought I should stay away from burgundy/dark red ties for interviews.

Why would anybody have suggested this? I wouldn't wear a crimson tie, which could come across as phony boldness, but burgundy is a great choice.

Really?
If I ever meet a consultant of risk or most everything else from a large firm who knows anything about anything in their supposed subject of 'expertise' it will be a first.
In fact, since OP cannot pick out his own outfit he should certainly be hired by a big gun firm to be sent out on assignment as a style consultant to all of their corporate clients.
