Have an upcoming interview at a bank, these are what I can put together. What do you guys think? Is a silver tie too 'flashy'?

- white shirt with blue stripes
- charcoal suit/pants (plain)
- solid silver silk tie

Looks somewhat similar to this...., anyone thinks this is too risky for an interview?

How skinny is that tie, exactly? Hard to tell from the photo but I wouldn't wear anything under 3.25". Do you not have the option of getting a white shirt and a tie with some navy in it?

The tie is a slim tie, between 2.5" and 2.75". I'm very skinny and a regular >3.25" tie looks oversized on me and quite comical.

My interview is coming up very soon (less than 2 days) and I don't have a good MTM plain white dress shirt. Again, I'm very skinny so RTW shirts cannot fit me, esp at the sleeves. I could just throw on my old RTW plain white dress shirt and hope the suit covers the flaws, but I would rather wear a more fitting shirt if possible (which the striped shirt is - MTM). Is this outfit that inappropriate?

I could go out and get a different tie on short notice though, maybe something like the following (photos from tie bar.com).

What do you guys think?
