So my in-laws are apparently wanting to get me something as a graduation present and brought up the topic with my wife last night. They were thinking that perhaps I needed some interview or work clothing.
Now, to be honest, they don't know that I belong here; I rarely see them when I am dressed up; and my mother-in-law apparently doesn't pay attention to my casual clothing selection.
Anyhow, my Mother-In-Law (M-I-L) suggested that they could get me a Macy's gift certificate so I could buy some interview clothes to which my wife responded that I probably have enough clothes... apparently the conversation went something like this:

Quite honestly, while I appreciate the thought, it sounded like a pretty funny conversation and I'd really rather have a gift certificate to a bookstore or something and leave the clothes decisions to me. Plus, as I told my wife, if they're going to get me a gift certificate, make it for Nordstrom not Macy's so I at least have a decent selection. What am I going to get at Macy's, a Donald Trump tie?M-I-L: "Does he have a blue suit? They say you need a blue suit for interviews"
My Wife: "He has a blue suit, I think he actually has two." (She was close, I have 3 blue suits)
M-I-L: "What about a gray suit, he needs a gray suit?"
My Wife: "He has a gray suit."
M-I-L: "He should have a blue blazer"
My Wife: "I'm pretty sure he has a blue blazer" (She's right, I have 3)
M-I-L: "He could get some dress shirts, I read an article that men shouldn't wear colored shirts to interviews, they should only wear blue or white shirts."
My Wife: "Brad has lots of dress shirts, but he only wears white or blue to job interviews"
