Viro Bono posted a few interesting links to brands of spirits that I'd never heard of before, including the link to the supplier of rum to HM Naval forces and another to a gin maker that we don't find too often here in the US.

I was wondering if anyone else has any favorites from England or elsewhere that Americans might not know much about?

(Oh, how that last sentence opens itself up to some wag's irony...)

My favorite gem is Hungarian Tokaji, which is a white wine made from grapes with the noble rot, it is quite exquisite and can be purchased for a very low price in Eastern Europe, and a somewhat higher price in the US. I have built up quite a cellar of Tokaji and enjoy surprising people with how great a wine it is.
