1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Interested in spectators and/or saddle shoes

I've got a substantial credit with Allen Edmonds and decided rather than going with one of their stock shoes, to use their special make up program. Ordinarily I wouldn't go that route because of the price, but because of my credit, it will cost me next to nothing.

I'm interested in some ideas in spectators and saddle shoes out there, more with spectators, but in a brown on brown or other combination other than white. Although that might not be traditional, I work in a relatively conservative environment, but not so conservative I couldn't pull off a brown on brown combination.

So those of you with pictures of your spectators (and saddle shoes), could you post some pictures of what you have so I can start collecting ideas? Thanks.

As a side note, if anyone has used the Edmonds special make-up program, tell me what you did that might be a little different.

I really like the look of this cordovan Alden Fan Shoe. I would think you could do something similar in calf. These are sharp. And these Lobb's aren't too shabby, either. All of the above are saddle shoes.

After seeing that Lobb shoe I need to inquire about their cost of making the Allen Edmonds Shelton, saddle shoe, in chili burnished calf with their dark brown alligator as the saddle. Thanks for the links.

JohnMS - suggestion, have them do the shoe on the new 0 last. Very nice lines. Check it out.

AlanC - love that Alden shoe pictured.

Yeah, wish I had a pair. I think Kai mentioned in a post that he had them.
