For a couple of months now, I have been trying to bring a slice of the neapolitan sartoria culture to the BENELUX, by organising trunk shows in the BENELUX (Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg), with Sartoria Cuomo Napoli and trousermaker Alberto Voglio. (These tailors are relatively unknown to the public, but are fantastic experienced artisans.) However, I would like to know whether there are people interested...

Just a heads-up.

Alberto Voglio, a Neapolitan bespoke trouser-maker will be in Eindhoven for a trunk show from on the 6th till the 8th of July, 2018.

So if you live in the Netherlands or Belgium, and you are interested in ordering a pair of bespoke trousers that is fully handmade, please get in touch with him (e-mail: [email protected]). His trousers are made according to the old Neapolitan bespoke traditions and has a lot of handmade details. And considering that most well-known trouser-makers charge a lot for a pair of trousers, Alberto Voglio offers bespoke trousers at a very competitive price.

Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming Alberto Voglio for the first ever trunk show in Brussels (Belgium).

Also, took the opportunity to try on a pair of trousers (first fitting) that I commissioned in July, and I must say that the fitting was spot on! Alberto is quite passionate and very proud about his work, and very good reason because everything is made by hand. Anyway, here are some pictures... Enjoy!

Looks quite nice! Although there is a wrinkle around the knee, but I guess it's because you have cinched your suspenders to raise the front.

How was overall experience, communication, timely delivery? What material you have used and what's the price of that can be revealed?

Overall would you recommended their service to friend or enemies?

I would highly recommend Alberto Voglio. He’s not only very friendly and passionate about his work, but also very professional.

For this pair, I chose H&S Crispaire (ref: 332044). We did only one fitting, but he was prepared to make any changes, if I wasn’t happy with the fit. The delivery was quite swift. Alberto Voglio regularly visits Paris. I have tried to get him to visit Brussels on a regular basis, but he doesn’t have a very strong client base here.

As for the price, I think it’s best to consult him, as it depends on the type of fabric you choose (though his prices are more competitive than Ambrosi’s).
