Hi all, some of you will know me from my various Private Messages to them regarding items they are selling, but I haven't really posted anything of substance before. I will at some point, when I have something to say
musicboohoo[1].gif
Anyway, I would like some advice on an item that I'd like to sell. HOWEVER, (and this is the catch), the item is Armani AND Black!!

So, what it is? I have an NWT Armani Black Label, Black jacket. The style is George and the sizing is 38UK (48EU). I honestly cannot say with any confidence whether the jacket is canvassed or not (as I still cannot get the hang of the "pinch test" - Sorry Nick

), but it is a modern cut (possibly 2 or 3 years old) and has the latest Black Label markings. The Original MSRP was around $1300, i'm looking for offers, as I cannot wear it (it was a present in the wrong size, that I couldn't be bothered to return). Please bear in mind that the jacket is in the UK, so shipping will have to be calculated also. The jacket is 3 button, black made of virgin wool. It has 4 buttons on the sleeve and is not vented. Here are the real pictures of the jacket:

Measurements ========== Size on label - 48EU Chest - 40" (measured under the arm pits when laid flat then doubled) Top of Collar to bottom - 31" (measured from the back of the jacket) Shoulder seam to Shoulder seam - 17" Shoulder seam to end of sleeve - 25.5" Price ==== $200 inc shipping . Please don't hurt me too much!!! Thanks Clint

Ignoring the inevitable price: quality comments, Armani Black label jackets are reasonably well made (Vestimenta) and for the right price, I would have no hesitation in getting one in my size that I liked the styling of. I am shying away from black though.

Post it and see, provide photos and measurements. You have nothing to lose.

No even my life??

I'll put some pictures up later. The jacket's at my girlfriends house (taking up space there

). I do have the exact same jacket in my size here with me (I know, but I knew nothing about style at Christmas and I thought Armani was good looking clothes), so I provide a quick picture, then provide the actual measurements later when I see her.

What do you think?

To the individual, style and fit are the most important considerations. If you like the style and it actually fits, then having it made from good quality materials and being well made are bonuses. Remember when people talk about 'handwork' in Oxxfords and the like, that's pretty much the icing on the icing on the cake. I reiterate: Black label GA for the right price, in the right size in a style you like is fine in my book.

Thanks for that, I do feel the same. However, I don't often hear members on this site (and AAAC) say that.

What do you think about the post a photo up now, even though it's not of the actual jacket (although exactly the same style, and colour)?

I'm also looking for suggestions on price. I've had some really good bargains on this site, so i'm not looking to make a killing. However, it'd be nice to have some change from this, so I can purchase more stuff from here

.

I would even consider swaps. I just think that it's a nice jacket going to waste , when someone could get some joy from it.

Thanks again

Clint

Having said all that I've said, you are not going to get much for it on here or AAAC. If you have reasonable ebay feedback, you may be better off selling it there, being NWT and all. If the style is identical then a photo of a larger size is fine, but members here do need measurements.

You need to be flexible on pricing. PM me if you want an estimate.

Clint is a very honest person with a long history in PM's, as he mentioned. I will personally vouch for his credibility. I hope that I have some of my own, having sold/bought over 25-30 items here without issue

Good luck with the sale Clint.
