I went to talk to a tailor last week about potientially ordering some MTM dress. He noticed that my dress shirt collar had a bubbly~lumpy top at the fold of the collar and told me that it was like that because I have been tying my tie incorrectly (I just thought it was because it was an old Van Hausen $20 dress shirt).
He stated that if you flip up the collar to tie your tie, you break the integrity of the collar. He said if I come back to order the shirts, he would show me how to properly tie a tie without breaking the integrity of the collar.
Does anyone here know what he is talking about and how to properly tie a tie?
Also, he is Daniel James, located in Torrance, CA. I tried to find some information on him prior to ordering shirts from him but I can not find anything online. Does anybody have experience with him?
Thanks
