Insurance gurus: General Liability Waiver

Any insurance specialists out there? In Ohio, nail technicians have a "new" license from the state, a "contractors license." Essentially, if you are a nail tech you are a contractor as nail salons do not hire employees. Thus, a contractor needs to have their own insurance or a general liability waiver. Would they need specific liability waivers?

I've argued with my wife for years about forcing her contractors to get their own insurance.

Any good companies from which to seek out this policy?

Your wife needs to go speak to her attorney about this, it's a fairly complex issue that can't be adequately addressed via a forum, but could have huge ramifications for your wife's liability.
