Input Needed: What's the condition of these shoes?

I'm an absolute noob when it comes to determining how much sole wear shoes have, as leather soles tend to scratch up quickly... How long do you think it'll be until they need resoleing and how much would you pay for these shoes?

You need a better picture of the soles. Even then, it is difficult to say for sure. Based on the creasing on the uppers and the wear on the soles, i don't see any major problems. Depending on how you use them, they would likely last a long while.

I would be more concerned with the marks on the uppers though. There are irregularities in the dye and while the flash photography probably highlights these, it could be pretty nasty IRL. Bid is up to you, but AE seconds can be found between $100 and $200, so I wouldn't go too high.

The left shoe does look kind of bad right? $65 too much to pay?

creasing doesn't look too bad, but keep in mind there are shoe trees in there. i'd be more concerned with that stain or whatever is going on with the left shoe.

I'v got a pair very similar to those(AE Park Avenue). Worn perhaps 5 times tops. The soles are in about the same condition.
I paid $325, maybe slightly less at JAB (I signed up for a corporate card).

I don't buy used shoes, but if I did, for $65 I'd buy those. They look like they're in pretty good shape to me.

Really...... they're fine.

Press your thumb on the soles, especially around the ball of the foot area. If the soles are stiff and somewhat hard, they're fine. If they feel soft and spongy, they need either a) to be re-soled, b) half -resole, or c) Have a TOPY layer added and no resole. The tops look fine. And yes, they're easily worth $65

Amazon has those new for $207. Or at least they did a couple days ago. I'd save your money.

This is actually the first time I have ever seen the merlot ones on sale. I always see black and dark brown, but for some reason, the merlot tends to remain at $325.
