Hi all,
I am seeking advice on alterations for a suit I plan to wear to upcoming interviews. The suit is a 38R Hugo Boss Super 100, passed down from my father. I know it needs some alterations, but I have limited knowledge of tailoring, CM is something I am just getting into, so I don't even know what needs to be done. Reputable tailors are rare in my country, so I'd rather not go in blind and rely solely on their opinion. It seems a bit wrinkly overall due to the excess material, especially the back.
Here’s what I think needs adjusting:
Thank you

Here’s what I think needs adjusting:
- Jacket Alterations:
- Waist suppression (I’m pinching about 3 inches on each side, but I’ve read 1–2 inches is ideal).
- Sleeves shortened.
- The jacket seems a bit long. Would it be considered traditional full-length, or is it too long for a modern fit?
- There’s a slight issue with the shoulders—ends are raised slightly. Is this due to the jacket being too small, or is something else going on?
- Pant Alterations:
- The hips appear too wide, and the seat needs adjustment.
- I assume the pants are straight fit with a 1/4 break, but I would prefer a no-break look with a more tapered leg. Should I tailor the pants, or find a new pair?
Thank you
