Went thrifting today and found a nice Corneliani coat and these shoes. I'm not very familiar with Santoni shoes, and wondered if these were of any decent quality and worth reviving. I found them at a goodwill boutique, so I paid the premium price of $18. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

No idea, but those are cool, really cool actually.
They are obviously 15+ years old (I just picked 15 as an old age).

Nice shoes, good find, definitely worth the $$ and worth keeping. They look like size 5 1/2 though, so you may need a shoe horn. If its the camera and they are really 10.5/11 I'd trade you for them. Check the trading post if you are interested, its pinned in FS.

I don't know if there is much to say about them. They're Santoni, old, and a very unique blend of suede and antiqued leather. Super-nice score. If I had a chance at finding stuff like that where I live, I'd actually go to thrift stores.

Thanks for the help guys. If I don't trade with idfnl, I'll definitely keep them.

FidelCashFlow - What area do you live in? There's only one thrift store within 10 miles here that every has anything of very high quality. It's associated with a hospital, so I think some of the doctors with taste and money donate there. Small selection, though. Odd hours, too, so I don't make it there much. I do remember finding a beautiful Brioni coat there.

I drive 45 minutes to the next nearest decent thrift store. Then 15 minutes more to the 'boutique'. Some of their prices are ridiculous and completely irrational--to a SFer, at least. Anything marked 'armani', 'mani', etc. commands a huge premium: $69+ for sport coats! This is where I found the Corneliani coat for $20, though. Joke's on those suckers.
