Polos run slightly small and a bit short. Slightly narrower than a slim Lands End polo.

I'm thinking of buying as Summit down coat for the winter and was wondering if anyone can advise me on the fit of these jackets?

I nomally wear medium, sometimes small in most jackets/coats so was thinking of trying a small based on what people have said about the outerwear coming up a size bigger than normal.

any feedback would be appreciated

I'm thinking of purchasing the Penfield Outback Navajo Vest. Does anyone have any info on Penfield Vests such as sizing (I'm usually a Large). Also, I see the brand was created in Massachusetts, does this mean that they make all their items in the USA too?

Thanks.

From my experience Penfield outerwear runs one size large. I have a size small in a chambray zip up and it fits me too big. I would have gone down to a size XS (34"-36") but didn't feel like dealing with the return.

Most Penfield products are now made in China.

I'm eyeballing a Penfield Stapleton as my main winter coat. I've yet to try one on in person so I don't have a feel for how warm it will be. I need a winter coat that will get me through 20 minutes of waiting for a frozen streetcar or the occasional bomb down a hill on a sled.

I doubt that it would be close to a Canada Goose Chateau or Banff level of warmth, but can anyone tell me if I'm making a mistake?

I live in Toronto btw...so our winter is cold.

What do you guys think about the shirts with the contrast details? I think this one looks pretty cool (albeit unavailable)

Stapleton is warm. I am selling a similar model in b&s.

I live in VT, and it was plenty warm for the new England winter.

It fits slim. The parkas fit one size large, but the rockwool and staplefords and down vests fit TTS, if a bit slim.
