I sure hope so. We're paying extra to get the handsewn buttonholes from our source.

And yes, made in the USA.

I am around on Tuesday. I'll sign-up on the website from Tuesday and bring my camera along with me.

I stopped by last Tuesday when I was in town and met with the Chalk guys; it was a nice and relaxing experience, like just hanging out with the guys, including the nice glasses of scotch

. If you're familiar with the MTM experience with suits or shirts, this is no different -- they take your measurements, you pick your fabric, cuff/collar style, etc. It's a very straight-forward process. I should have the shirt in 6-8 weeks.

There's some extra fabric at the back of the shirt tails.

Have you thought of setting up shop at law and business schools close to graduation. These guys are going to buy shirts anyway. Why not make it easy for them to get some reasonably priced MTM. Take appointments at a nearby hotel suite, and make sure to differentiate yourself from the many fly-by-night operations by emphasizing that you are regularly available in the city at XYZ location by appointment.

Also, as a consumer, what would draw you to try a product like ours?

I just received eight custom shirts that I ordered, from a tailor who offers a program similar to what you're describing. I have shoulders much wider than my chest, and so off-the-rack stuff fits me poorly and tears along the sleeves after a few months; thus, I looked into MTM. (For reference, I'm 28, and not exactly wealthy.) I'd previously bought a lot of Brooks Brothers shirts at $66 each, but they didn't last long, and did not fit comfortably, especially around the waist.

I found my tailor from a recommendation here. I was able to order a test shirt, which was a big factor-- the local men's clothing store here has a 4-shirt minimum at $145 a shirt, no test shirts allowed, which discouraged me from trying them.

The test shirt fit well, and I ordered seven more; he threw in one of those for free, bringing the price per shirt to about ~$130. (I'd suggest offering this if people order six or more shirts; it's definitely a nice gesture for customers that are willing to buy a lot of shirts at once.)

He used the same fabric books that are posted above, and I was able to find plenty of color / pattern combinations, for both work and casual wear, in my price range.

Anyway, I looked into MTM because I was dissatisfied with the poor fit of RTW, and found as a side benefit that I could choose from a much wider selection of fabrics, as well as fine-tune the details, which made the increased cost and wait time worth it. Does that help?
