Hey all, I'm new here and soon-to-be new to the East Coast (coming from SoCal). Specifically, I'm about to start attending a very preppy school, and I wanna dress like it

To start from the ground-up, I bought my first pair of Sperrys:

I have absolutely no idea where to get pants and shirts that'd go well with these shoes. The key factor for me is that they've gotta be inexpensive -- I'm a broke college student so I can't afford to spend $100 on a single pair of pants or single shirt. I'm definitely open to buying from discount websites or whatever can net me some decent quality threads for a reasonable price.

I have absolutely no clue where to start looking, or what to start looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Warm- and cold-weather clothes are both fair game. I don't have much of an eye for fashion, though I wish I did.

FYI I wear 33/30 or 32/30 pants, and 15.5/32 dress shirts. I'm a white guy with brown hair and fairly dark complexion, though I have no idea if that makes any difference for search criteria.

I like them way more than any other shoe I've encountered recently, and I figured that it wouldn't matter since I plan on updating my wardrobe anyways. I figure there have got to be at least a few clothes out there that would pair well..

Jeans, shorts, fitted chinos, its all good. Personally I think they look good with a t-shirt, hoodie, and fitted raw denim or fitted chinos. They work into the more fashion forward skate/hip hop look. I'm guessing you are young too, remember the median age on the MC is higher.

+1 both, for the GAP suggestion and just slim fit chinos themselves.
